She probably just didn't see her husband going in for the kiss. Or maybe it was the gorgeousness of Barack Obama that caused her instincts to override any sense of propriety or marital-love.
Women are dreaming of having sex with Obama:
Whatever the cause, a recent video of Hillary Clinton snubbing husband Bill Clinton's kiss for one from the new US president has hit the Web.
The video shows Bill moving in with hands and puckered lips to kiss his wife. But the US Secretary of State is having none of it and leaves Bill sucking air as she dodges and does a mwah mwah with Obama.
I guess all that tireless campaigning by Bill on her behalf wasn't enough to atone for past, er, sins.
NYT blogAuthor and New York Times blogger Judith Warner has claimed that many women are dreaming of having sex with the new US president.
Following her own fantasy about finding Barack Obama in her shower, Warner "launched an e-mail enquiry" and found "Many women not too surprisingly were dreaming about sex with Obama. In these dreams, the women replaced Michelle with greater or lesser guilt." Here are some of the fantasies she came across...
>>A 62-year-old woman, whose dream was reported by her daughter, found a fully above-board solution: "Michelle had divorced Barack because he had become 'too much of a star.' He then married my mother, who was oh so proud to be the first lady."u00a0
>>A global health care consultant, fantasised, "I dreamed I was an Obama girl. I had a chance to be in the same room with him for the first time. There were dark velvet chairs and he was standing there with all this dark and mist around him. His lips so purple and sensuous."u00a0
>>"Barack and Michelle look like they have sex. They look like they like having sex. Often. With each other. These days when the sexless marriage is such a big celebrity in America (and when first couples are icons of rigid propriety), that's one interesting mental drama," said one respondent, echoing the fixation of many with the first couple.
