"I don't have broadband at my home," Wozniak told stunned attendees at a business forum in Perth, Australia. "I, Steve Wozniak, don't have broadband at my home."

The computer whiz explained that broadband service to his Silicon Valley home comes through only one source, tied to a local cable TV monopoly.

"Broadband is a monopoly in my town - that means you can get it from a cable company, but I don't have cable," he said. "And so I can't get broadband in my house."

Travelling in Australia as part of his Woz speaking tour, Wozniak said he relies on smartphones to access the Internet.
