London: J K Rowling is now being blamed for a four-day traffic disruption outside her Edinburgh house while having her garden hedges trimmed back. It was reported that the road outside the 49-year-old author's house was cut down to one lane as temporary traffic lights were being set up to help the gardeners in cutting the 30-feet bushes.

A team of gardeners has been tending to the Lleylandii bushes outside the author's 17th century mansion since Monday. They have also installed a four-way traffic light system due to the large number of vehicles involved in the routine maintenance.
The work not only jammed the traffic but also angered the author's neighbours. Talking about the issue, one of her neighbours said it was taking ages for them to cut the bush back as the gardeners have been here for three days and have only finished the front portion of the garden.
Meanwhile, the other said that it was chaos as the lights were taking too long to change, especially on the side roads and causing a long queue.
This is not the first time the author has faced the wrath of those who live near her mansion, which she and her husband reportedly bought for about two million pounds a few years ago. In 2012, she had earned the ire of local residents when she built two 40-foot-high Hogwarts-style tree houses in her back garden for her children.
Furious neighbours had lodged complaints then, but Rowling successfully won planning permission. Many Harry Potters fans also regularly stop along the path to take photographs of themselves outside the high walls to post on social media sites.
