US Vice President-elect Kamala Harris announced on Thursday new members of her White House senior staff. In a statement on Thursday, Harris said Tina Flournoy, an aide to former US President Bill Clinton, will be her chief of staff.
Harris said that Flournoy's "deep experience, public policy expertise, and accomplished career in public service make her uniquely qualified for this important position".
Rohini Kosoglu, a senior advisor on the Biden-Harris transition team, will serve as the Vice President-elect's domestic policy advisor and Nancy McEldowney, a diplomatic veteran, will be her national security advisor, according to the statement.
The transition team said these public servants "have the experience to hit the ground running on day one".

The additions to Harris' office come after Ashley Etienne was announced as her communications director and Symone Sanders was announced as her senior adviser and chief spokesperson.
The latest personnel moves mean that three more women will serve as some of the highest-ranking and most politically powerful aides in the next White House, Politico news reported.
President-elect Joe Biden announced earlier this week that he would have an all-female senior communications team, led by White House communications director Kate Bedingfield and press secretary Jen Psaki.
US states are moving to certify Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential race, while sitting President Donald Trump, who has refused to concede, is still trying to overturn the results with lawsuits.
Harris will become the country's first female Vice President and the first African-American and first Asian-American to hold that post after inauguration.
