A 27-year-old South Korean man committed suicide after posting a suicide note on the social micro-blogging website Twitter.

Police found the body of Lee Kye-Hwa, who was working as a disc jockey in a Seoul bar, hanging from a ferry dock on the Han river in Seoul Tuesday.

His family reported him missing Sunday when he posted a message in Korean on Twitter.

"I'm going to commit suicide. To all of you, even those who shared the slightest friendship with me, I love you," he wrote.

"Investigators concluded he had committed suicide," a Seoul police spokesman said, confirming the Twitter posting.

Access to Lee's account was not possible by Wednesday.

Lee had also left separate notes for his family and friends, complaining of financial troubles, The Telegraph reported citing The Korea Times.

According to the paper, some of his Twitter followers tried to trace Lee after reading the suicide note but were later shocked to hear the report of his death.

"I wish he may rest in peace in Heaven; my heart is deeply hurt," one of his follower wrote.
