Dominique Strauss-Kahn faces gang rape charges following a prostitute's claims that she was held down by the wrists and forced to have sex, it emerged yesterday. French judges have asked cops to launch a fresh probe into the claims he and three friends subjected two prostitutes to "degrading sex acts against their will" at sex parties in Washington DC.
If convicted, such charges could result in prison terms of 20 years. The probe call came after graphic evidence was offered by a Belgian vice girl named Marion. In police interview transcripts, she describes how Strauss-Kahn "used force" against her at sleazy group sex sessions.u00a0She alleged: "He gripped my hands, he pulled my hair, he hurt me."
She then claimed he tried to subject her to degrading acts, adding: "I refused, telling him no. I didn't scream it out, but I said firmly and loudly several times that I did not want that." DSK was arrested last year over claims that he attempted to rape a New York hotel chambermaid, but criminal charges were dropped. He then returned to France where he faced further claims from a writer that he had attempted to rape her. Also under investigation in the latest probe are former Lille police chief Jean-Christophe Lagarde and Lille businessmen David Roquet and Fabrice Paszkowski.
Marion also told police in her statement how Roquet allegedly "grabbed her by the wrists" during her ordeal with Strauss-Kahn.u00a0She said, "No other man in the room did anything to intervene. It is rare to find men who show as little respect as DSK and Roquet."u00a0The politician once tipped to be the next French president has already been charged with conspiring with pimps to procure girls for sex parties around the world.
Another call girl known as Ines told investigators: "It was just pure sexual consumption, and these sessions often became bestial and violent."u00a0Strauss-Kahn has admitted attending a string of swingers parties but has claimed none of the women were prostitutes. DSK's lawyer Richard Malka described him as a "simple swinger" who would do everything to have charges dismissed.
