Provincial officials have announced the reward for information leading to the capture of the gunmen involved in the attack.u00a0Yousafzai was shot as she travelled home from school in the town of Mingora, Swat, a north-western area once controlled by militants.
She remains critically ill after surgeons removed a bullet from her neck on Wednesday. Jay Carney, White House spokesman, said US forces were ready to offer transport and treatment to the teenager if needed. US President Obama believed the shooting was "reprehensible and disgusting and tragic", Mr Carney said.
He added, "Directing violence at children is barbaric, it's cowardly, and our hearts go out to her and the others who were wounded as well as their families."
