Veronica Deramous (40) held Teka Adams (29) captive for five days and attempted to cut her baby out via her stomach.
When police found Adams, her abdomen was cut and her intestines, stomach and placenta exposed.

The homeless mother's baby girl was delivered by emergency Caesarean section and she is expected to make a full recovery. She was named Miracle Sky.
BleedingAdams was able to escape from the apartment, though her hands were bound with duct tape, when Deramous fell asleep.

Police found her bleeding in the apartment complex car park after being alerted by a neighbour.
Deramous had told relatives and her boyfriend that she was pregnant even though she was not. A box cutter and some razor blades, which police believe were used in the attack, were found in the apartment.
