Just days after he was entangled in a scandal, PM Silvio Berlusconi has landed in another controversy after a Spanish daily published photographs of topless women and a naked man cavorting at his private Villa Certosa.

Hot stuff: A man reads the Spanish newspaper El Pais yesterday in Madrid in which the pictures of Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi have been published.

Under the headline: 'The photos vetoed by Berlusconi', El Pais published a series of theu00a0 embarrassing photographs one showing a topless young woman lying on a sun lounger while another showing a middle-aged nude man, standing by the edge of a swimming pool.

Others show Berlusconi walking through the grounds with a young woman, a woman in a smart red overcoat and knee-high black leather boots, and the leader in a small group of people, which includes a blonde woman in a short black dress.

However, Berlusconi has slammed the photographs as an invasion of privacy. "Do you take a shower dressed?

These girls were bathing in a whirlpool bath inside a private home, and were assaulted in a scandalous way. I am not at all frightened.

There is nothing scandalous in these pictures, but this is a violation of my privacy," Berlusconi told the Italian state radio.
