US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have honoured soul legend Stevie Wonder u2014 the man whose music brought them together.
Wonder was presented with the Library of Congress's second annual Gershwin Prize for Popular Song during a concert at the White House.
Michelle opened yesterday's event with a speech in which she revealed that Wonder's Talking Book was the first album she bought. "Years later, I discovered what Stevie meant when he sang about love. Barack and I chose the song You and I as our wedding song," Michelle said.
Obama added, "I think it is fair to say that had I not been a Stevie Wonder fan, Michelle might not have dated me, we might not have married."
