The ALS ice-bucket challenge initiated for charity uses viral videos and social media to promote awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
In this challenge, participants pour a bucket of ice-cold water over their heads and post the video online, challenging three others to either do the same within 24 hours or make a charity donation to ALS.
