"Charlie Bit My Finger," said three-year-old Harry after year-old brother bit his finger.

This simple home video is the most viewed video on the most popular video sharing website YouTube with over 170 million hits as of March 2010.

The video just 56 seconds long features two British brothers, aged three and one. The father of the boys Howard Davies-Carr uploaded the video in May 2007 for it to be viewed by their godfather who lived in the United States.

Since then the video has become a phenomenon on Youtube. "The clip only went up as I wanted to share it with the boys' godfather.

I was naive about the whole YouTube thing. It became viral and once that happened there was nothing I could do.

People have sent lovely comments and messages and I now upload a new video of the boys every six weeks."

The boys are now stars. The two have their own blog and video series. Limited edition T-shirts 'Charlie Bit My Finger' and calendars have been made. Shelley, the mother, said, "The video got on to a college networking site in the US and from there it went viral. I think the British accents have helped make it so globally viewed."

According to web experts, Davies-Carr family could earn -- u00c2u00a3100,000 from the video, mostly from advertisements shown during the video.
