A restaurant in Israel recently went viral on Instagram for serving dessert in a real toilet bowl

Gordos, a popular restaurant in Holon, Israel, has been getting a lot of attention because of its latest dessert: a real toilet bowl full of chocolate ice cream. No matter how much you might like ice cream, the controversial dessert available at Gordos named, "Third House of Shit", is still remarkably off-putting. With the smeared toilet bowl and the way the chocolate ice cream is shaped like turds, it's definitely not the most appetizing dessert you've ever seen.

It's unclear whether Gordos was going hard for controversy, or if the brilliant minds that came up with the name "Third House Shit" were trying to be edgy, but one thing is for sure - they made a lot of people angry. Judging by the comments on the restaurant's viral Instagram post about the dessert, people care less about the disgusting look of it and more about the name.

In case you're not familiar with the Jewish religion, the Third House or Third Temple is a very important concept that refers to a hypothetical rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. To make a mockery of it for attention didn't sit well with a lot of people, and many voiced their disapproval in the comments. "Shocking. Such a lack of respect for the religious side that makes up more than 50 per cent of the country's population," one person wrote.

"You are probably on the verge of bankruptcy if you decided to shock everyone with such a perverse idea," someone else commented. The concept of ice cream served in a miniature toilet bowl has been done before, but Gordos is the first eatery to truly strive for realism.

Silver goldfish

The oldest recorded goldfish was 43 years old, and was so ancient that his scales started turning silver

The average lifespan of a common goldfish is 10-15 years, but the current Guinness Record for the oldest goldfish ever was set by a male goldfish named Tish that remarkably reached the age of 43.

He spent his life in a fish bowl in North Yorkshire, UK, under the care of a woman named Hilda Hand, and her son Peter who won the fish at a fair. No one really expected Tish to reach his 40s, considering that most goldfish barely make it past a decade, but somehow he did.

"He has had a healthy diet and has always enjoyed a peaceful place to live," Hilda Hand told the Daily Express in 1998. Hilda claimed that Tish's colour had shifted from gold to silver in his later years, sort of like the hair of mammals turns white as they get old. Tish passed away on August 6 1999, but remains the oldest goldfish in recorded history, 24 years later.

Too slow and steady

The embarrassing performance of a Somali athlete, NasraAbukar Ali, during the women's 100-metre race at the World University Games in China prompted a public apology from Somalia's sports minister. In a viral video, the athlete can be seen crossing the finish line in 21.81 seconds, more than eight seconds slower than the second-last runner. Her run has been dubbed the slowest in an official tournament.

Death hoax

On Wednesday, social media star Lil Tay's Instagram posted a statement claiming that the star had died, shortly following the reported death of her brother. However, according to a statement Lil Tay allegedly gave to TMZ, her Instagram was hacked, and she and her brother are both alive, contrary to the post. She said of the "heartbreaking" hoax, "It's been a very traumatising 24 hours."

Hydro-overdose

Ashley Summers was with her family in Indiana when she started feeling dehydrated, and consumed four 16-ounce bottles of water in 20 minutes. She later collapsed, and never regained consciousness. Doctors said that she had suffered severe brain inflammation after drinking too much water.

Cocaine-filled condom

A woman was caught trying to smuggle cocaine through an airport - by hiding it in her vagina. She stuffed 11 capsules into a condom and then inserted it up her vagina before she was busted on July 29. Each tablet in her vagina contained 110g of the drug, with a street value of of £5,500.

Truly head-scratching

Usually, when your child gets head lice, you try every method to kill them, ASAP. But one Aussie mom has taken the opposite approach - she doesn't want to harm the nits at all. According to a concerned parent who wrote in an advice column, her neighbour won't treat her daughter's lice because she's vegan, and vegans don't kill living things.
