Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has said that he is looking forward to leaving Europe as his love for football has dipped after Argentina's World Cup disappointment.

Tevez admitted he considered quitting football after Argentina's dismal performance at the World Cup in South Africa.

On the eve of the Manchester City's Premier League kick-off against Tottenham, Tevez said he was only staying in the game to support his family and looked forward to retiring in two or three years.

The 26-year-old is finding it difficult to cope with separation from his daughters as he still has four years left on his Manchester City deal.

"For the last year I haven't lived with my daughters, they are growing up and I'm getting worn down. After returning from South Africa, I thought about quitting football, but I have a large family and now I have to continue," The Daily Mail quoted him, as saying.

"Football doesn't make me happy or as fulfilled as before. It becomes difficult to play like this," Tevez said.

Tevez is struggling to get over the disappointment of Argentina crashing out of the World Cup to Germany in a humbling 4-0 quarterfinal defeat.
