The Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon will be run on Jan 17, 2010 and just might have a new route.
Organisers at the press conference at the Oberoi-Trident yesterday said that they were delighted and excited at the prospect of including the Bandra-Worli Sea Link on the route. "The logistics and precise distance have to be worked out," said Vivek Singh director, Procam, the marathon organisers.
The marathon will also get more expensive for runners as the fees for entering the marathon have gone to Rs 300 (for the 42 km, 21 km and Dream Run) distance.
Registrations have opened for the 2010 edition and will close by August 18, 2009.
Forms are available at Standard Chartered branches in the city. For more information, call the help line at +912242020200, Monday to Saturday, between 10 am and 6 pm.
