Kolkata Knight Riders speedster Brett Lee spoke his mind about the future of one-day cricket, Australia's odds at the Ashes, his former teammate Mitchell Johnson and a few more issues.
The Aussie, who is the Brand Ambassador of -Staeta Soy Milky, answered questions hurled at him after unveiling the product.
On the future of ODI cricket:
Champions Trophy is a tournament we looked forward to. I enjoyed playing that tournament as we tasted some success as well. So it is sad that this will be the last edition. It is true that ODI cricket is slipping. With the advent of T20 cricket, ODIs are dying a slow death.
On his Champions Trophy predictions:
I have not looked too far into the Champions Trophy teams. It is impossible to predict, but I will not bet against Australia. India will be tough to beat as well.
On Australia's chances in the Ashes:
The four-nil loss to India would obviously affect the confidence of the boys going into the Ashes. But I believe if they get the right set-up, right structure and right combination, they will be successful.
On the sacking of Mitchell Johnson:
I am not a selector. I would never want to be one. All I can say is that Mitchell Johnson is in great form. He is swinging the ball again which is a great sign. He is my former teammate and he will be back in no time.
On Sachin Tendulkar:
Sachin is right up there with Sir Don. I hope he gets to play his 200th Test because nobody will ever repeat that feat. He is a role model and loved across the world, not just in India. And anyone who has played for more than 20 years should be allowed to go out on his own terms.
On Michael Holding's comment of the Indian bowling attack being ordinary:
India just won 4-0 against Australia. They must be doing something right.
On KKR's current situation:
We have to believe we have a chance to qualify.u00a0
