Winning the toss and electing to bat, the visitors began brilliant with the opening pair of Jaffer and Tare putting on 135 runs for the first wicket before Jaffer departed, caught and bowled by medium pacer Saurya Sanandiya. Jaffer's knock constituted 11 fours and a six.
Tare then go together with No 3 batsman Ajinkya Rahane. But just as the duo seems set for another big partnership, Rahane fell to off-punner Kamlesh Makvana for 24.
