In this year's railway interim budget, passenger fares might have been slashed, but the challenge to have hygienic surrounding at stations and in the trains continues.


In this year's railway interim budget, passenger fares might have been slashed, but the challenge to have hygienic surrounding at stations and in the trains continues.

Our trains are disgustingly dirty, especially the long- distance ones. It would be ideal if we replace the conventional thalis in long distance trains with dry lunch on board, a diligent effort to keep up with cleanliness.

Passenger traffic is only going to increase with every passing day. It's a call to engage in healthy living.
