When Phillip Hughes died after being hit by a bouncer, Cricket Australia (CA) hired a psychologist for the bowler Sean Abbott. After Ankit Keshri's death yesterday in a freak accident, the East Bengal team in Kolkata will need a psychologist for two players, coach Pranab Nandy said.

"We will need a psychologist to console at least two players, Saurabh Mondal with whom Ankit had collided and all-rounder Arnab Nandi for whom Ankit was substituting. Both of them are very upset," the coach said.

"We have sent Saurabh home. He has been advised to keep his mobile phone off. All other team members are in the hospital to console Ankit's parents," he added. Arnab said Ankit was on the field for only three balls when the incident happened.
