Riding on Anukul Roy's all-round show India U-19 beat England by five wickets in the first one-day international at Sophia Gardens on Monday.
England could not capitalise on the good start provided by openers Liam Trevaskis (33) and Liam Banks (43). Roy (4-30) was the wrecker-in-chief for India as the hosts were bowled out for 181 in 46.4 overs.
Pacer Shivam Mavi and spinner Rahul Chahar bagged three wickets each. In reply, the visitors chased the target in 34.3 overs thanks to Salman Khan's unbeaten 69 and Roy's 43 not out.
