Vengsarkar XI chasing 205 set up by Varroc Academy, Pune in the first innings breezed to 296 for 3 declared as Prithvi Shaw (83) and Armaan Jaffer made the task look very easy. Prithvi put up 104 for the first wicket with Rushiraj Karia (41) before holing out to mid-off. That was the only relief the visitors got as they were later sent on a leather hunt by Jaffer.
The young lad hit 27 boundaries in his 146-ball knock before being asked to retire. He scripted a partnership of 152 runs with Karia whose contribution was only 26 runs. Vengsarkar XI made a token declaration which gave Varroc 10 overs to bat.
