Following his team's outstanding game against the Blackburn Rovers, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that winning is all that matters for his team and he doesn't care as much about the scores.
Arsenal thrashed Rovers 7-1 yesterday at the Emirates with captain Robin Van Persie scoring a hat trick and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain netting in a brace.
"I do not give much importance to the seven goals, it is just we won and played well. I felt that recently we had quite good performances but did not get the results," the Sun quoted Wenger as saying.
"Today we got the performance and the result, which is ideally what you want." Wenger also said that the team had remained focused and added that their win was a result of collective effort rather than an individual performance.
"We remained serious and were guided by the way we want to play football and not by any extravagant individualism," he said. "We were mature and serious, we played together until the end," he added.
