Chelsea defender Ashley Cole is off the hook with the cops for accidentally shooting a 21-year-old student with .22 air rifle.
Surrey Police dropped their investigation after visiting the club's Cobham training ground where Tom Cowan was shot in the side by an air rifle last month, the Sun reports.u00a0
Cowan, a Loughborough University sports science student on a year's work placement with Chelsea, was in the dressing room when the incident happened on February 20.
"Victim Cowan did not press charges and the matter is being dropped while Chelsea insist they have disciplined the player," a Surrey Police statement said.

It was reported that the intern was given medical treatment on the spot, but two days later the wound was still weeping and had to be treated again.
Cowan was later called into a meeting with "deeply worried" Chelsea officials to discuss the incident.
