The Indian Premier League's hearing into the dope charges against Mohammad Asif concluded today but a decision on the Pakistan pacer's fate has been put off for a later date.

The Indian Premier League's hearing into the dope charges against Mohammad Asif concluded today but a decision on the Pakistan pacer's fate has been put off for a later date.

The IPL Drugs Tribunal comprising former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar, lawyer Shirish Gupte and Dr Ravi Bapat heard the pacer's case here.

"No decision has been taken on him and the tribunal will meet again," Gupte said after the hearing.

Asif, who represented Delhi Daredevils in the IPL's inaugural edition last year, had tested positive for banned performance enhancing drug nandrolone. His 'B' sample tested in Switzerland had also returned positive for the banned substance.

Just days before the hearing, Daredevils released him from the team following a request by the pacer.
