As the debate over the Chennai pitch continues, former Australia pacer Brett Lee said he was not surprised with the pitches in the sub-continent.u00a0"There is no problem with the wickets; Australia should choose an appropriate team combination. I am also not surprised by the conditions here.
"The ball does turn square in India and you have to deal it. It is Test cricket and it tests your skills," Lee said on the sidelines of a promotional event by pet care brand Pedigree at a city hotel yesterday.
Lee also praised India for winning the first Test, but said that his team has the potential to bounce back. u00a0"India definitely outplayed the Aussies. But don't write them off yet. I think Australia have got a lot more to offer. I am looking forward to a big game (in Hyderabad). There's no reason why Australia can't win the series," said the 36-year-old.
Must win for Oz
He added that the second Test in Hyderabad would be crucial for Michael Clarke's side. "I think India have chosen their side very carefully. They have done their homework well.
What Australia now need to do is forget what happened. The Hyderabad game is a do-or-die encounter and we have to win it," he said. u00a0Lee is expecting some changes in the side for the second Test.
"It is a long series. I am sure Australia will go in with a different team having known the wickets by now. u00a0u00a0"I believe India used their spinners effectively. Australia might go in with a different line-up," said Lee, who has claimed 310 Test wickets.u00a0
