Bangladesh sent out a strong warning to their opponents ahead of the ICC âChampions Trophy next month as they defeated New Zealand by five wickets to hand the Kiwis their first loss in the tri-series yesterday.
Chasing 271, opener Tamim Iqbal (65) and one-drop batsman Sabbir Rahman (65) put Bangladesh on course before Mahmudullah (46') and Mushfiqur Rahim (45') helped the team register their first win against NZ overseas.
Earlier, Tom Latham's 84 helped the team reach 270-8.
