"I am entitled to two tickets as a former India captain. This is a Board of Control for Cricket in India regulation. I am not asking for a favour. I have tried getting in touch with the PCA's CEO Brig Sandhu, but have got no response.

Bedi coached Punjab to a Ranji Trophy win in 1992-93.

"That (Ranji Trophy win) is besides the point. I am only asking for something I should get," he said.

When MiD DAY spoke to a PCA official last night, he said the spin great should have contacted the association's secretary M P Pandove, who Bedi had played cricket with. "Why should I contact Pandove when the CEO is supposed to handle such things?" Bedi fumed.

The PCA official stressed on the limited seats considering the World Cup being an ICC event. "Bedi is always welcome to attend the match," he stressed.

Meanwhile, Bedi was confident that India and Pakistan will provide some exciting cricket.

"It will be a good game, but I am against all this political infringement. As it is the players are tense. The presence of these politicians will only increase their pressure. They (political leaders) had so much time to sit down with each other. Why pick a cricket match," asked Bedi.
