Highly rated attacker Karim Benzema has been struggling to make an impact at Real Madrid this season, but the 23-year-old striker put in an impressive performance for France in the international friendly against Brazil on Wednesday.
Benzema netted the only goal of the match and always looked lively both on and off the ball, much to the delight of former France international Zinedine Zidane, who was full of praise for the former Olympique Lyonnais man.
"Obviously, we all talk about Karim's goal right now. However, his goal is not the only thing that pleased me. He was exceptional all game long," Zidane was quoted as saying in an interview on the FFF website.
"His passing was very good and he always looked dangerous when he accelerated with the ball.
"His positioning was extraordinary as well and I only saw positive things from Karim on Wednesay evening."
