Kolkata: The Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB), which has been fighting for recognition, on Tuesday raised the issue with the Justice R.M. Lodha panel which is expected to submit its report soon.
"The Lodha Committee which will be submitting its report in January 4 is expected to suggest several changes in the BCCI's constitution and functioning. So, I have written to panel raising the issue of providing affiliation," said CAB secretary Aditya Verma.
"For the past 14 years, budding cricketers have been denied a future by BCCI, which is a gross violation of human rights. Without any amendment in its rules, the BCCI wrongly deleted CAB's affiliation," he said in the letter.
"We therefore urge you to take steps to prevent this step motherly treatment by the BCCI," said Verma who has repeatedly raised the affiliation issue with the BCCI.
