Bishan Singh Bedi is a traditionalist: "Only the ignorant will watch 20-20".
He also tries to be practical: "I don't think the Indian government will be able to provide adequate security to the IPL and general elections at the same time."

The former India captain is clearly supporting a view that the tournament be postponed even as the cricket bosses say it is not possible to do so.
Bedi is surprised at Home Minister P Chidambaram's reported statement which said security would be provided for the second edition of the IPL.
"The BCCI office-bearers met with the IPL today and we are thankful and grateful to Home Minister P Chidambaram for his clarification that security would be provided to the IPL," Lalit Modi, the IPL boss was quoted as saying on Friday.
A revised schedule will be revealed to the media today. "Any revised schedule received from the IPL will be sent to the concerned state governments for their comments," a Home Ministry spokesman said yesterday.
Bedi came down heavily on the IPL organisers who give him the impression that they want to conduct
the tournament without bothering about other factors.
"They say nothing will happen during the IPL. Didn't blasts take place in Bangalore, Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai?
"It took the forces several hours to clear the Mumbai mess. It's very easy to say life must go on. Will they say it when someone is killed in the family," Bedi roared.
