The Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (COA) has sought the removal of BCCI office bearers including acting president CK Khanna and secretary Amitabh Choudhary and treasurer Aniruddh Chaudhry for not respecting the Lodha Panel reforms.
The COA submitted the fifth status report to the Supreme Court yesterday. However, former India skipper Bishan Singh Bedi reckoned the COA had the powers to remove the office bearers themselves. "I think they have the powers. There is no point in tolerating the BCCI officials anymore. In my humble opinion, you can't be politically correct all the time; put your foot down and be ruthless" he said. The scathing report was submitted in the apex court by the two-member COA comprising Vinod Rai and Diana Edulji.
