Former Australian bowling coach Troy Cooley has said that Doug Bollinger, who is coming back from a hamstring injury, will use the Chairman's XI match against India to attract the eyes of the selection panel for the Indian Test series.
"I know what he's like. He's a real competitor, a real fighter, and this will be an opportunity to get back into that side," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Cooley, who is also the Chairman's XI coach, as saying.
"They all want to play at the top level and they all want to do the work to do that," he added.
Bollinger has not played a Test since this time last year and has watched on as new pacers James Pattinson and Mitchell Starc got baggy greens recently.
