However, 15 months of intense hard work and rehabilitation has given Lee the opportunity of leading Australia to another World Cup crown. He will lead the defending champions' pace attack over the next six weeks.
SUNDAY MiD DAY ran into Lee at the team hotel yesterday. When asked to explain the secret behind his fitness, the New South Welshman laughed, and quipped:u00a0 "It's taken a lot of hard work. A lot of credit goes to my doctor and the people back home that have helped me during the tough times. Honestly, I have not come here thinking of winning a World Cup. I just want to enjoy the event and see how it goes. We have enjoyed some success here in the past. Hopefully, we can do it again.
"We love the big stage. We are coming off a big win against England."
