Chennai Super Kings have been on a roll with two consecutive wins
Chennai Super Kings have been on a roll with two consecutive wins. But the IPL III champions will face their toughest test when they take on Australian side Victoria Bushrangers in their third Group A match of the Champions League Twenty20 today.
Batting is Chennai's strength and this was evident in the way they attacked Wayamba's bowling to pile up 200 runs in their previous match. The explosive Albie Morkel and MS Dhoni are also known game-changers in case Chennai's top-order fails to fire. Spin duo Muttiah Muralitharan and R Ashwin too are delivering the goods for the team whenever the pacers fail to give early breakthroughs.
However, Victoria's tested pace of Peter Siddle and Dirk Nannes could be too hot to handle for Chennai. In the other game of the day, New Zealand team Central Districts will face SA side Warriors. It is a battle of survival for Central after losing their first two matches.
