Joe Cole has no regrets over his move to Liverpool and remains determined to make his mark at Anfield. The England midfielder has made little impact for the Reds after leaving Chelsea on a free transfer last summer.
He now hopes to have turned the corner having recovered from a knee problem to make his first appearance since Kenny Dalglish took over as manager in last week's Europa League game at Sparta Prague.
Cole told liverpoolfc.tv: "It's not gone how I would have liked, but that's life. I'm fired up, still positive and still got enough energy, I want to be a success at Liverpool and I want to be part of this club."
Cole now hopes to retain his place as Liverpool face the Czechs again at Anfield tomorrow in the second leg of their last-32 tie.
Cole said: "It was important for me to get a game under my belt as I'd only trained twice, so it was nice to come on early. I didn't expect that and it was good to get going again."
