Tendulkar himself along with tennis star Sania Mirza, former Indian football team captain Baichung Bhutia, four-time hockey Olympian Dhanraj Pillay and a few more sporting heroes are part of this Jana Gana Mana.

"A movement is required in sports in which a lot of people come together and make a big change. All of them featured are legends," Kulkarni told mid-day.

'Mile sur mera tumhara' and 'Dream run' were songs that caught the attention of television viewers in the 1980s and Kulkarni wants this latest project to reach millions of people as well.

"We will be appealing to the state and central government to ensure this gets to the entire public. We are in talks with lot of entities, schools and theatres to promote this. The India matches of the forthcoming ICC World Twenty20 is on my wish list as well. It will be up to the Board (Board of Control for Cricket in India), but from our perspective, we want to reach out to as many people as possible," said Kulkarni.

The Abhijit Panse-directed film involving sporting icons from all over India was shot at Film City and at some other locations in the city. Cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee and music composer Ram Sampath along with 70 IISM students were involved in this project.
