A few days ago, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to grant the franchise permission to go for bids to sell the team.u00a0
According to the tender notice, the winning bidder will acquire from the DCHL the right to own and operate the IPL team, which is and will continue to be based in Hyderabad and which competes in the IPL.
Going by the tender invited, the new buyer will have to retain the name âDeccan Chargers' and will have to clear the liabilities of the current owners.
The last date of submitting the bid is September 13.
