Dhoni's team can win Test series in NZ: Pataudi

Former captain Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi has rated the team led by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the best in the history of Indian cricket.

"The team led by captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the best team in the history of Indian cricket and is capable of winning the Test series in New Zealand," Pataudi told reporters here today.

Pataudi along with his noted actress wife Sharmila Tagore and other family members arrived here for taking part in a private function and also to resolve the vexed property disputes.

'Tiger' Pataudi led India to its first-ever overseas Test victory against New Zealand in 1967.

To a question he said it would be better if the team members instead of playing for personal records, play for the nation and in that case it would be difficult for any team to beat Dhoni's men.

However, he said the performance of the team was good and is appearing to get better.
