Despite defending champions Chennai Super Kings' early ouster from the Champions League T20, skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has called it a "blessing in disguise" ahead of the Indian team's important ODI series against England which begins at Hyderabad on October 14.
Relieved: Dhoni finally gets rest!
"That's the only blessing in disguise, a few days off, not that we have earned it, but a bit of rest will help us," Dhoni said after his team suffered a 46-run defeat against New South Wales on Tuesday.
Apart from skipper Dhoni, Chennai teammates Suresh Raina and R Ashwin are the other two Indians in the 15-man squad for the first two one-dayers to face England.
Meanwhile, David Warner smashed a blistering unbeaten 69-ball 135 as 2009 champions New South Wales posted an imposing 201-2 against Chennai. In reply, Chennai were bowled out for 155 with seven balls to spare.
