Having beaten friend-cum-foe Ravi Bopara many times in video-gaming, the Netherlands batsman Ryan ten Doeschate was eager to defeat his Essex teammate on the cricket pitch too. However, that was not to be as Bopara's onslaught in the death overs helped England clinch victory.
"I have beaten him many times while playing PS III. We have always had close, tough football matches. I wanted to beat him on the cricket field today. I don't know when I will play against England again," Doeschate said.
