Those driving between Kala Ghoda and Siddhivinayak on a hot Sunday afternoon would have been surprised to see the fastest Indian on track driving an open car next to them.

Thanks to industrialist Gautam Singhania's Parx Super Car Show that saw the enthusiasts driving their beloved imported sedans, Narain Karthikeyan, taking time off before hopping to Portugal for next week's A1 Grand Prix, drove Singhania's Ariel Atom 3 from Kala Ghoda to Siddhivinayak and back to Kala Ghoda via Peddar Road for around 90 minutes.

"I don't even remember when was the last time I drove a car on the streets of Mumbai," Karthikeyan later told MiD DAY.u00a0 "Usually I don't drive in traffic. It's just for some promotional event or the other." Karthikeyan, however, enjoyed every bit of the drive.

"It was fun, though it was too hot, especially since I was driving an open car," the former Formula One driver added.

Singhania, meanwhile, drove his favourite Ferrari 348 and was happy with the maiden car show of 50-odd brand new imported cars.

Among those who joined the bandwagon were industrialist and Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra who drove an Audi R8, Audi Managing Director Benoit Tiers, Adar Poonawalla who steered a Ferrari 430 Spykar. Yohan Poonawalla also fielded his Lamborghini Gallardo.
