Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina (22) knew nothing about cricket before she met England left-arm pacer Reece Topley (23). In fact, she thought that cricket was curling.
Curling is a sport in which players slide stones with a brush on a sheet of ice towards a target area.
"Before Reece, I knew nothing about cricket. I even thought it was a different sport, with a brush," Svitolina was quoted as by The Sun.

"No one in the Ukraine knew about it before I dated him, probably now it will start. When I had the media day in Brisbane, I played cricket. I was like the first Ukrainian cricketer," she added.
Talking about how they came to know each other, she said: "We met in a gym in London last year. I spotted him when I was working out with my fitness coach.
"He is tall and very strong. Later, I saw him in the restaurant. I am trying to learn more about cricket, as when he has bad days I need to be aware and not ask stupid questions," she added.
