Entire football team from Senegal disappears without trace in France

An entire football team from Senegal is on the run from French immigration officials after vanishing without trace from their hotel in Le Havre city.

According to The Daily Mail, the footballers disappeared during a friendly tournament designed to foster 'international cooperation and harmony'.

The players are likely to claim asylum or else disappear into the black economy.

"They were due to fly home to Africa on Sunday, but haven't been seen since leaving their hotel," a French frontier police official said.

"Three disappeared when the team was playing in Portugal, while another nine disappeared this time round. Unfortunately this kind of thing is relatively common with African teams coming to Europe," the official added.
