While the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 FIFA World Cup may not have lived up to expectations, the organisers seem keen to put on a better show at the July 13 closing ceremony at the Maracana Mário Filho Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

According to reports in the Boston Globe, the organisers have selected Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen as a replacement for Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff to present the
World Cup trophy to winners.
There is widespread discontent over Brazil's faltering economy and the record USD 11 billion Rousseff spent on the World Cup, which critics say should have been used for education, health, housing and transport.
Minutes before the Brazil-Croatia World Cup opener kicked off, sections of the crowd of more than 62,000 people chanted "Hey Dilma!" followed by a crude sexual taunt as she sat next to a dozen world leaders.
