Finally, Rahul Dravid loses his cool

Watching the local bowlers bowling to Indian batsmen at a net session is one of the funniest sights. Rather than learning a few tricks of trade, most of the kids are looking forward to get the stars' autograph or a picture clicked with them.

What's even worse is they hardly give a batsman time to settle down after their batting stint. Rahul Dravid came out after a fairly long stint yesterday morning.

Even before he sat on a chair, he was surrounded by a group of local bowlers.

Dravid lost his cool and ordered them to wait for a while and far away from the net action.

Bhajji scare
When premier off-spinner Harbhajan Singh didn't turn up for India's nets on the eve of their second Test against Sri Lanka yesterday, naturally skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was asked about the absence in the media conference. "Today was an optional session, so each one prepares the way he wants to. Go to gym or come for practice. There's no illness," Dhoni clarified. Illness? We never asked if Bhajji was ill. On probing further, it was learnt that Harbhajan indeed was suffering from cold and cough and even asked a local doctor to examine him at his room on Sunday evening.

No wonder the team management released only S Badrinath for the Ranji Trophy tie and asked left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha as back-up. But later in the evening, it was confirmed that Harbhajan was recovering well and in all likelihood will be named in the playing XI.
Wait and watch!
