Former India all-rounder Karsan Ghavri is making good recovering after suffering from a heart attack in Shimoga, Karnataka on June 5.

On Tuesday morning, Ghavri's daughter Panchami said on the cricketer's Facebook page: "Thank you very much for all your good wishes and concern. Papa is on his way to recovery he's already doing much better. Thank you once again."

mid-day.com learns that Ghavri is out of ICU and will return to Mumbai in four days' time.

Ghavri (65) the first pacer to claim 100 wickets for India (he sometimes bowled spin) was Kapil Dev's first new ball partner. He last played for India on the 1981 tour of New Zealand.

In the previous series - against Australia - Ghavri dismissed Australia's captain Greg Chappell in both innings (for a duck in the second dig) to help India win the third and final Test in Melbourne by 59 runs, a triumph which contributing to levelling the series 1-1.
