Skipper Anish More's splendid innings with the bat under pressure helped Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (Vile Parle) snatch a thrilling two-wicket win over Anjuman-I-Islam (CST) in the Giles Shield Round Three match at Azad Maidan yesterday.
In a nail-biting finish, Parle Tilak needed 12 off the last over. Anish finished off the match with a boundary off the last ball. Chasing 187, the Vile Parle side kept losing wickets at regular intervals. However, Anish held his ground and smashed a 118-ball 89. For Anjuman, left-arm pacer returned with impressive figures of four for 27 in 11 overs. Earlier, electing to bat, Anjuman posted 186 for 8 in 45 overs. Kush Yadav top-scored with 87. For Parle Tilak, Vedant Shah (2-35) and Dhawal Mate (2-54) starred with the ball.
