South Africa captain Graeme Smith will give up his captaincy after the World Cup to be hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in 2011. So, this would be the last opportunity for Smith to win the World Cup as captain. Smith has already conveyed his decision to Andrew Hudson, South Africa's chief selector.

Confirming this, Hudson toldu00a0 MiD DAY: "Yes, Smith has already informed us, but he will lead our Test team as usual."

So, who will lead South Africa after the World Cup?u00a0 "Maybe Johan Botha, but we have to see whether he is an automatic choice for the ODI team. We may also consider AB De Villiers. But, we have not taken any decision yet," Hudson said. It can be recalled that Smith was appointed South Africa's captain after the disastrous 2003 World Cup.
