Gautam Gambhir's purple patch is going on and on and on. After being named the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year, the southpaw registered his highest individual score at the Eden Gardens yesterday to help India seal the series with an emphatic seven-wicket victory. What was fascinating to see during Gambhir's 137-ball knock was his desire to see India through after coming in to bat in the second over. "This was my 88th one-day international, but I could not finish the game earlier. This is the first game where I took the responsibility and saw the team home," he said.
