How hurting has this KKR separation been?
It's very disappointing not to be able to continue the work which began before the 2009 tournament.

Failure obviously sends reputations for a six. How much does this aspect hurt in your case?
Unsure I hope other IPL franchises who may be looking for a head coach now, or in the future would still be very interested in what I could bring to their club.

Have you done some soul-searching on your stint? Where did you go wrong?
It was a long-term plan. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure some necessary short-term results.u00a0

Do you still believe the multiple captains theory you floated makes sense. Does it have a place in the game or is it something you regret bringing up with KKR?
I won't comment on that.

On after thought, do you think removing Ganguly from the captaincy contributed to the ending of your relationship with KKR?

Did Ganguly make it harder for you to give this team direction?
I will not comment on the Ganguly questions.

Would you say you got adequate backing from the team owners?
I will not comment on questions about the owners.

After Middlesex, it's KKR. Your critics say that you can't be successful with weaker teams. Your comment?
Queensland had not won a competition in 69 years. In my first year as coach with them, we won the Sheffield Shield. Queensland Cricket supported my vision and plan and gave me the opportunity to deliver it over a five-year period. We subsequently won two one-day competitions and another Sheffield Shield. After I finished and moved to the Australian team, my then assistant coach, Bennett King took the Queensland team to further successes over the next four years including a hat-trick of Sheffield Shield wins.u00a0 Change cultural change, different playing and training regimes take time to implement if you are building for the long-term.

Would it be right to say that at one stage, you became the central figure in the team instead of the captain?
I will not comment on questions revolving around Ganguly or any questions relating to captaincy and leadership.

Finally, what's the big effect this forgettable experience of coaching KKR had on you?
Another invaluable, overall learning experience with a range of learnings which I am already applying to the corporate world with a mining company VALE that I consult to here in Australia.
